What I earn

In the last financial year I earned £61,820 before tax and a pension deduction of 10%. I received no other income from outside employment.

What I spent on staff

I am supported by a team of hardworking professionals. I am currently assisted in my duties by two full time staff, and two part time staff. My total staffing expenditure for the last financial year was £90,222.08p.

What I spent on travel

As Broxbourne’s Member of Parliament I travel around the Constituency, the County and to and from London. Last year I claimed £2,684.40p for car, rail, parking and a taxi.

What I spent on living in London

Last year I spent £10,358.37p on London accommodation which included payment on an interest only mortgage, council tax, utilities, subsistence, maintenance and removal costs.

What I spent on office costs

My total expenditure on running my office came to £14,955.39p. This figure comprises £8,970.39p for printing, stationery, surgery advertising and Constituency accommodation costs; and £5,985 for mailings and website services.

Other expenditure

Each Member of Parliament is assessed a notional amount against centrally supplied IT which, since I entered Parliament in 2005, has been £1,082 per annum. The cost of my centrally purchased stationery and postage is £3,307.18p.
